Sphinx of Ink

What surprising, fascinating stuff can you tell us about the origin, drafting, and/or final version of “Sphinx of Ink”? Literature is a love affair with questions. Fiction is a cocktail of obsession and confession. Obsessions are mostly about the obsessed one and not about the object. What a rush to pour ourselves into an object: we leave our shells behind and become someone else for a spell.
