What more can you tell us about “Uneven Math”? It was far harder to find and create interesting letter statistics than it was to pick number ones. I fell down the rabbit hole of the BBC, several old textbooks, and Netflix nature documentaries for my numbers, but when I was faced with creating meaningful and symbol-based facts for the speaker’s best friend, I quickly ran out of acronyms and airport codes and had to start digging for other approaches to letters. I got very frustrated half-way through and started researching famous triptychs. My favorite was Francis Bacon’s 1969 triptych Three Studies of Lucian Freud.
