Author’s Commentary

I am interested in examining unique arrangements of textual matter and graphic elements using a variety of nonconventional filters. My recent work, from the series Refraction, is geared toward this investigation. Photographing through drops of water, blown glass and mottled plastic, I strive to redirect the meaning of the subject matter by compressing the composition from a conventional form into a distinct revelation, bringing the uncluttered elements to the forefront.
