“In selecting the materials intended for publication, I use compression in order to choose only the stories that fit the entirety of the theme of, broadly, life. As each of my stories is simply a snippet from the experience of daily living, I select stories based not on whether or not they are ‘important’ stories, but based on whether they illustrate the fact that all of life, even the seemingly insignificant moments, can in fact have great meaning.
