“Stopping time is not possible, even if you fold it in order to compress a story down to a few words. These very short stories about birth, love, aging, illness and angels leave imprints along the way and could not help but be influenced by the power of the human body.”

Cynthia Litz grew up in the Appalachian mountains of Virginia and is a physician and mother. Her fiction and poetry have been published in Narrative Magazine, Camera Obscura, Night Train, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, The Journal of Compressed Creative Arts, and Annals of Internal Medicine. She lives in New York City and Dallas.
