Top Five: Thelma Reyna
When I think of writing, these are five of my favorite things:
- The chance to stir someone’s emotions
- The chance to stir someone’s thoughts: opinions, analysis of what we think and why
- The chance to lay words out in patterns and rhythms that please the eye and ear and that make music in another form
- The chance to blend and fuse poetry and prose and blur demarcations, creating something that is better than either of the former was.
- The chance to join a community of human beings (other authors) who cherish living in a world of imagination, make-believe, creativity, seeing their residence in this realm a far superior existence than in the pedestrian world we otherwise inhabit.
