Unsolicited Advice, 10 of 12

by Nicholas Grider

Nicholas Grider is an artist and writer whose work has recently appeared in Conjunctions and Drunken Boat and whose artwork was most recently shown in a solo installation of photos and text at the Armory Center for the Arts in Los Angeles as well as inclusion in the Greater Los Angeles and Greater New York groups of exhibitions.

[Author’s Note: “The work in Unsolicited Advice came from my longstanding interest in backlit roadside or church signs with moveable letters, and the work here reflects a digitized version of that, letters placed one at a time, but rather than serve to provide useful information or some kind of uplift the content of the signs has been bent toward bad, weird and sometimes morally suspect advice.”]
